... and happy birthday grace slick( born grace barnett wing october 30th 1939). white rabbit still stands for me as one of the most amazing female rock performances ever. it's near untouchable- there's no way to better her version with jefferson airplane although her earlier group the great society originated it- slick wrote it.
my late cat alice was named by a friend of mine who used to ride around in a big american car endlessly listening to ' white rabbit'- so basically she was named after the song and it's connection with alice in wonderland.
